I decided to pay for one year of monarch money and check it out after trialing it out for a week. So far so good. I am not against the idea of paying for something if they don’t sell my data and so far the interface has been very good. One of the first byproducts of using monarch was to change my cellphone providers this week. After years on Verizon wireless, we moved to USMobile which also uses Verizon as their backend. It made no sense to stay on Verizon wireless paying nearly 140 bucks for two lines (and we are grandfathered, go figure!) when we could get a better plan at USMobile for all three of us and pay less than that! While Verizon did offer me loyalty discount and tried to get the bill to 120 odd, it still made no sense to continue with them.
