Apple replay 2024. Sounds about right!
I rarely share personal photos here but felt like sharing this one. I took this in 2010, a few months before mom’s passing. Today 3 out of 6 people in this photo are no longer with us, which makes us want to cherish the rest 3 even more. My mom’s side of family has always been very close knit and us 1st gen cousins are also close knit mostly because of our shared experiences growing up with each of these women at some point in our lives. At different points in life us cousins have spent months or sometimes years growing up in their houses in different cities, or in their younger years some of them at ours when we were small kids. (The second generation of all these cousins are really going to miss all that attachment and closeness of growing up together. Half of the 2nd gen are in the US and other half in India, and with time+distance, there is literally nothing binding the 2nd gen cousins together.)
I finally reframed this gorgeous original artwork this weekend. We got this as a gift from my aunt’s neighbor in 2008 for our wedding reception. Yeah I know we invited neighbor of our aunt coz that’s how it rolls in India. I honestly don’t even remember their face or who they are but this is THE gift that has stayed timeless and been with us through the decades. The original frame was finally coming off so I decided to reframe this myself after custom framing options proved too expensive. The kid picked the frame and mat and I couldn’t be more happier on how it turned out. I think this is the best gift we got and I really really love this art piece.

A walk through the woods
If you are in local dc area this IS the peak fall weekend! Just get out this weekend it’s incredible in this whole area. These 4 pictures were my drive from home to work today 😍
As long as you keep it just to phone and don’t expand it the cleanup tool in photos works brilliant! This phot had a sea of people in front of louvre and it’s all magically gone!

A lake in middle of nowhere that we just chanced upon driving the back roads. I promise you it was way way more gorgeous than it looks in the photo. The editing just couldn’t bring the colors out at all.
Fall sunset drive in the Shenandoah. We spent a good couple of hours in nearby areas getting lost in backroads and woods before hitting up Shenandoah late evening by which time we just had to turn back. I wish we had the time to do skyline drive coz the sunset was absolutely gorgeous!
