3 episodes in, Constellation on Apple TV is an engrossing watch, though the repeated “Mamma!”, “Mamma!”, “Mamma!” is really beginning to grate the nerves. That said it is so unsettling at least the first 3 episodes.

But more than anything else, its watching America erode in every way in the last 1 year, so quickly, so dramatically has been the most shocking part of it for me and something that is going to stay forever. I have never felt this hopeless about this country, and I dont think a Biden presidency or a democratic presidency is actually going to matter anymore. I think America has passed point of no return at this point, and the only thing left to see is how fast or slow the eventual decay happens. So yeah I am scared for my country and the country my kid is growing up. It was also that year when we wished citizenships came with 1 year return warranty.
Three years later I don’t feel any more different than I did. Purely out of self preservation mode, I will say this to all the green-card holders in this country, do NOT become a citizen of USA unless the country you came from is even more fucked, or your country offers dual citizenship. Things are about to get far worse here and its not on people of color, women (some) or immigrants to keep saving this country and pulling it away from brink of disaster. Heck I wish I had my green card and Indian citizenship so I had the security and the advantage of both countries right now.
Northern Virginia’s version of “protest vote”. Like why? Why not just vote Biden in primary and general? What exactly are you trying to prove? To whom? Are you are a very educated voter that looks at “issues that matter to me” type thing? No? Then get the fuck in line.
There is absolutely no denying here that people like Trump are just incredibly gifted. I mean Jesus Christ the entire system wants to work for you to clear the path. They just want him back don’t they? Tell me how many people you know that things just fall into place like it does for him?
Michigan results are slightly underwhelming for Trump no, more than Biden. I think Biden did pretty well and if that uncommitted number is holding to around 12-13% its not bad. I look at it as more of an opportunity for Biden campaign to win those voters back (and there is no reason to think he wont be able to convert some of those voters back!) but it feels like Trump has a tougher job ahead in Michigan than what it looks like and him winning over the entirety of that protest vote is still not going to help him much (which is doubtful anyway).
Of course I am very excited about NYTimes hot take on why all of this is such a disaster for Biden.

I am being very petty towards a colleague at work but i am done being nice. Several months ago I invited her to a day long offsite so I could explain the inner working of our product. Everyone attended except her and she cited some excuse as she didnt think it was useful for her. Then over last two months she has rejected all my overtures. Now it turns out she’s been tasked to write a document that surprise surprise…. touches every part of the product I work on and she needs to know as much as she can. I am being very petty now and refusing to help her with anything and just asking her to RTFM. I am like throw attitude at me, I throw at it back lady.

An exhausting weekend! Wife was out entire weekend for a girls-only trip which meant I was at home with doggo and kid. It was way more exhausting than I thought it would be just managing these two kids. On the other hand we all made it out alive and my wife didnt have to come home to me and the kid with daggers out so thats a big win already.
