That whole Martha’s Vineyard migrant episode is basically both sides trying to own other sides. De Santis and his Republican supporters are full of shit, but don’t kid yourself into believing that if migrants keep coming to Martha’s, the suddenly helpful folks out there won’t start having a problem. Right now the scale is small enough that both sides got their drumbeat talking points at the expense of poor migrants.
