As more time passes I am becoming more appreciative of Indian schooling system of K-12 than the American system here which I am finding needlessly complicated and unforgiving. By the time kids get to middle school, the amount of pressure w.r.t course selections and pathways is ridiculous – and adds up on parents too. Add up the extracurricular activities and asks of being “college ready”, its such undue burden on everyone. Frankly, ridiculous. Much prefer the simple K-12 schooling system we all grew up in.
