The kid really wanted to do a year long yearbook and journalism course in middle school that was based on completing a application packet unlike other courses where you just expressed interest. She is incredibly happy that after review she got in for the year long course! This should actually be a fun course and diff from regular academic rigor and plays well to some of her strengths. I would have loved to do this one as well.
