I hope Succession ushers in a new age of TV shows where they end by 3rd or 4th season. Too many prestige drams were ruined because the network & creators decided an extra season or two was really need to tell the story. Yes I am looking at you Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Better Call Saul each of which went on for season or two too long. Breaking Bad should’ve ended at S4, and Mad Men at S5 at best. Better Call Saul is an exhausting watch in S6, so much so I still have 5 episodes to go, and I hardly care anymore. I hope American TV finally learns from British TV on having concise shows and telling as much story as needed instead of just going on and on because they attained prestige status.
