Rohit Sharma’s comments about WTC final are exactly what I expected in present day Indian player mentality. Why can’t it be played in march?, Why not different country? (meaning, India), Why not best of 3 test matches? and all such. Essentially Rohit is saying, lets play the WTC final in India, in pitches of our choice that we can doctor for extreme spin from day 1, and while at it, lets just make it best of 3 so we can adjust our pitches to make us win the title. Sure you can do all that, but the beautiful game suffers. There is nothing wrong with a one off test final in the mecca of Cricket. Just keep it that way. If you are not good enough you are not good enough. No need to make so many excuses around it.
