Like all recent Sanjay Leela Bhansali projects, Heeramandi is absolutely stunning to watch but also absolutely soulless and drab. Like I love love the visual artist Bhansali is but I wish he figured how to actually tell a story. Visuals don’t cut it alone. But gosh almost every frame is a painting.
